In order to rescue the embattled real estate industry, China government announced “historic” steps in mid-May to stabilize the sector as well as easing purchasing restriction. Shanghai and Suzhou has already eased purchasing restriction following Guangzhou. Expect 2024 will be the year to drastically ease purchasing restriction.

It needs to watch closely whether the measure of easing purchasing restriction could be the life-saving straw for real estate industry to walk through the crisis.
